The piece
Nuvem, meaning “cloud” in Portuguese, reflects the sofa's visual language: soft, floating and quietly sculptural. The design reduces the traditional sofa to a few expressive volumes—a horizontal cloud-like seat accompanied by two rounded vertical forms.
The contrast between smooth and highly tactile upholstery emphasizes these separate volumes while allowing them to function as one cohesive composition.

Design Details
The defining feature of NUVEM is its asymmetrical dual backrest composition. Two independently shaped rounded forms overlap visually behind a single uninterrupted seat, creating depth without adding conventional arms or heavy structural elements.
The slightly recessed upholstered plinth gives the sofa a subtle floating effect, while the absence of traditional armrests keeps the silhouette open and contemporary.
